LITERATURE MEETINGS: “PETERSBURG STORIES” AND GOGOL WITH BARIŞ ÖZKUL
On Monday, November 25, FMV Ayazağa Işık High School and Science High School 10th-grade students attended a talk on Gogol’s Petersburg Stories presented by Barış ÖZKUL, Editor at İletişim Publishing, as part of their Turkish Language and Literature course. In his engaging discussion, Barış ÖZKUL explored topics such as the meaning behind Dostoevsky’s famous remark, “We all came out of Gogol’s Overcoat,” the individual’s place in society, hierarchical structures, and the impact of shifting social statuses on individuals. We extend our gratitude to our guest for his valuable insights.
