The Nuriye GÜNEYİ Natural Sciences Award is presented in honor of Nuriye GÜNEYİ, who taught at Işık High School from 1967 to 1979 and inspired Prof. Dr. Celâl ŞENGÖR, a student at Işık Schools from 1966 to 1969, to pursue a career as one of Turkey’s leading scientists and a geologist. This award is dedicated to the most outstanding 11th-grade student in the field of natural sciences. We congratulate all the students who were selected as candidates from their schools and impressed the jury with their achievements in this competition, which is the fifth. We also extend our gratitude to their families and teachers for their support and contributions to their success.
