Learning Centre
The aim of the FMV Özel Florya Işık Schools Nerkiz-Dr. Said Akçura Learning Centre is to provide individuals within the school community with access to various sources of information, support learning processes, and develop students' skills in acquiring knowledge, conducting research, and using information. The Learning Centre is designed as a space that enriches the lives of all individuals, offering guidance on information literacy, organising cultural events, and supporting the arts, literature, music, and other creative fields.
The Arzu Akçura Planetarium at the Learning Centre offers an unforgettable journey into the depths of the universe. An astronomy and space science teacher presents stars, planets, galaxies, and other celestial bodies to students in an interactive and captivating manner, connecting those interested in astronomy with valuable knowledge. This centre serves as both an educational and observational space, allowing students to explore a mysterious world. It fosters knowledge-based discoveries by integrating with the resources available in our library.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) aims to foster compassionate individuals who appreciate the significance of intercultural understanding. These individuals are inquisitive, questioning, sensitive, knowledgeable, communicative, principled, open-minded, risk-taking, balanced, and committed to lifelong learning.
Academic integrity involves the commitment of students, researchers, and educators to uphold values such as fairness, ethics, accuracy, and transparency in the educational process and their academic work. To support this, students receive training on the principles of academic integrity, research methodologies, and the guidelines for using the MLA Citation Style.
